RISE TO THE CHALLENGE
Philip Morris KSA Trading Company is looking for a Communications Manager to join the team.
As the Communications Manager, you will, be responsible for building and maintaining the visibility, awareness and impact of Phillip Morris Saudi Arabia as it enters the market. He/she will work in partnership with the Saudi Arabia Management Team and wider Communication team in Dubai to develop and execute the market external and internal communications strategy.
The individual will help build and reinforce the brand and the company’s commitment to better alternatives in the market to deliver its strategic priorities. He/she will be responsible for tailoring the global strategies to be delivered locally for maximum impact; ensuring alignment with cross-functional partners and mapping to overall business objectives whilst mitigating risk in advancing the company vision of a smoke-free future. The individual will also be responsible for the company’s local sustainability strategy in alignment with the middle East Sustainability strategy
YOUR ‘DAY TO DAY’
- Develop and execute a local strategy and annual plan that supports the organization’s mission and business objectives and further accelerates the company’s position as the global leader of a smoke free future
- Develop new and original content and communications programs that are sensitive to local legal and regulatory requirements
- Oversees the development of media relations and digital/social media communications plans
- Act as a trusted advisor to Management by building strong relationships with colleagues and advising key company spokespeople on communications activities
- Utilize their established media network and understanding of the media landscape in delivering media coverage across a mix of business and lifestyle media
- Liaise closely with counterparts in marketing, legal, external affairs, commercial teams and other senior stakeholders to align on the high-level communication strategy and preparation of key messages and overall PR plan
- Manage external PR agencies to drive maximum impact and results
- Supervise daily media monitoring and advise senior leadership on potential reputational risks.
- Work closely with senior leadership to adapt communication strategies based on input and feedback
- Work on integrated campaigns to translate complex ideas into clear, compelling and influential communications
- Support the Management Team on internal communications initiatives, and support the Managing Director on their external communications and internal communication programs
- Develop the internal communication plan to engage company employees.
- Review/ prepare internal communication / publication material (i.e. presentations, town halls, e-mails, newsletter, intranet content, etc.)
- Develop local sustainability strategy that supports the markets sustainability goals
- Lead and mentor a communications executive with clarity, empathy, and accountability.
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- KSA National
- University degree from a relevant discipline
- 10+ years’ experience in media, corporate and agency settings with strong understanding of KSA local market and its dynamics
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to work and collaborate across multiple cross-functional touch points
- End to end project management skills with extensive experience in managing external PR agencies
- Demonstrated experience in working with senior leadership with ability to navigate complex issues in highly regulated industries
- Exceptional writing skills, an eye for detail with a commitment to the highest standards
- Strategic and creative thinker with ability to develop unique and authentic content and communication programs
- Experience in brand building and budget/planning management.
