RISE TO THE CHALLENGE
Philip Morris KSA Trading Company is looking for a Communications Executive to join the team. As a Communications Executive, you will be part of the Communications team, reporting to the Communications Manager KSA.
The Individual will support external engagement, events and corporate Social Responsibility initiatives in Saudi. Based in our Jeddah office, with some travel to other parts of Saudi and oversees, this role will play an important part in engaging with media on the company’s transformation and its commitment to a smoke-free future in the Kingdom.
With this role, he/she will also work on product announcements, digital and content campaigns. Along with working on external communications, the executive will also work closely with the Communications Manager on building an internal communications program for the entity that that fosters transparency, engagement, and a sense of community within the organization.
YOUR ‘DAY TO DAY
External Communications
- Inputting into the local communication campaign strategy that supports business priorities to ensure consistent, positive company messaging and address emerging issues proactively.
- Collaborate with external PR agencies, coordinating media outreach, monitoring coverage and managing public statements and press releases.
- Strong project management skills. Extensive experience working on integrated campaigns with the ability to translate complex ideas into clear, compelling and influential communications.
- Organize and oversee media-related events from concept to execution.
- Accountable for maintaining and adhering to compliance policies
- Strong media network who they can lean into their relationships to deliver media coverage
- Strong understanding of building build corporate reputation and how to use corporate equity for impact
- Collaboration with central and regional communications teams, key commercial contacts and relationships with external agencies to drive success
Internal Communications
- Develop local internal communications plan in partnership with the Internal Communications Specialist (based in Dubai)
- Closely partner with internal business stakeholders to keep employees informed of company strategy, key business initiatives and news through various channels and campaigns (e.g. Town halls, staff volunteering events, social events, internal campaigns)
- Own and develop internal communications contents, channels and tools in line with PMI Internal Communication strategy.
- Manage internal content calendar in partnership with other teams across the cluster
- Provide guidance and support to the leadership team on internal communications best practices within their teams and organizations
- Identify and run sustainability programs that are aligned with the market sustainability strategy
- Partner with other teams on key initiatives to deliver engaging and impactful campaigns for major program
Leading on reporting and performance
- Building the case for communications in the long-term business success
- Ongoing strategic assessment of campaigns ROI and value to the company
- Experience in working with Power BI for reporting.
- Conduct regular media monitoring and social listening, providing insights on public sentiment and identifying risks to the brand’s reputation.
- A strategic appraisal of the challenges and opportunities the function may face, and able to lead on the evaluation of campaign performance against objectives
- Budget management/ planning experience
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- KSA national
- Bachelors degree in a related field
- 5-8 years of experience in media, corporate or agency settings. Direct experience with public affairs and/or FMCG is also highly relevant.
- Experienced in navigating complex issues and being familiar in working in a highly regulated industry.
- Track record of managing and delivering high impact PR campaigns and handling challenging and complex technical matters and sensitive issues.
- Experience on working on internal communications programs, with proven experience in creating meaningful and creative campaigns that deliver impactful outcomes for employees and the organization
- Strong network of relevant journalist and industry contacts.
- Excellent writing and analytical skills, and proven ability to plan, manage and deliver projects.
- Strong stakeholder-management skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
- Proven ability using digital and social media as effective media relations tools.
- Bilingual in Arabic and English.
