We are currently seeking talented, business-savvy professionals to join IoT Cloud Tech Lead to be based in Jakarta. This position will present you with outstanding professional challenges, diverse learning opportunities and career growth.
JOB DESCRIPTION
As a Tech Lead, you will have the opportunity to shape the future of our products, working with a dynamic team that values creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Lead engineering for IoT software solutions across PMI’s Connected Product Engineering and IoT Platform teams. This role drives architectural alignment, engineering excellence, and delivery leadership for complex IoT backend and edge-software initiatives.
YOUR DAY TO DAY
- Work closely with architects and value stream leaders to translate requirements into technical execution.
- Establish engineering culture focused on code quality, scalability, observability, and maintainability.
- Lead technical discussions, provide coaching, unblock engineers, and drive troubleshooting.
- Contribute hands-on to implementation and optimization of core components.
- Oversee grooming, prioritization, and technical debt management.
- Communicate product vision and ensure engineering alignment with business outcomes.
- Shape and maintain the team backlog, ensuring clarity and prioritization.
- Guarantee high-quality Epics and User Stories aligned with strategic direction.
- Support PI Planning and agile ceremonies; lead sprint planning and ensure capacity and feasibility.
- Track engineering progress, ensuring deliverables meet standards, practices around code quality, conventions, and timelines.
- Lead E2E delivery lifecycle from solution outline to deployment, validation, and continuous improvement.
- Drive change management, release governance, and documentation quality.
- Continuously review and maintain the Product Team Backlog to ensure it remains up to date, relevant, and aligned with the product vision and goals.
- Gather stakeholder feedback to improve product and engineering processes.
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Min. Bachelor's degree or adequate equivalent work experience in B2B and B2C IT.
- Proven Tech Lead experience in IoT, backend engineering, or distributed systems.
- Mastery of Python, Node.js, AWS cloud, microservices, and CI/CD.
- Strong understanding of SAFe, excellent communication skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Proven track record in building highly available and scalable distributed systems.
- A keen eye to quality with regards to following and establishing good coding practices, improving code coverage.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and build strong relationships with developers and stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong analytical mindset and proactive leadership competencies.
