Role overview:

The GBS Data and Analytics team is composed of individual doers and collaborators working passionately to apply cutting‑edge advances in technology to solve real‑world problems. As a Data Modeler in this group, you will work directly with architects and engineers in creating, optimizing, and documenting data models to translate complex business data into usable computer systems.

You are expected to support the enhancement of data governance, quality, and accessibility, ultimately empowering our organization to make data‑driven decisions and achieve strategic objectives.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

• Graduated in (Business) Informatics, IT, Computer Science, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in analytics and data roles
• Experience in data architecture, relational modeling, and multidimensional modeling, including modeling notations, Codd rules, and conceptual‑to‑logical‑to‑physical data models
• Proficient in SQL and in using a cloud‑based data warehousing platform such as Snowflake
• Experience using at least one data modeling tool such as SqlDBM, Erwin, ER/Studio, Power Designer, Enterprise Architect, Infosphere Data Architect, Modelsphere, or Toad Data Modeler
• Familiarity with master data and reference data concepts; experience with an MDM platform such as SAP‑MDG is a plus
• Business domain knowledge (Commercial, Consumer, or Operations) is a plus

Preferred Qualification

• Knowledge of software engineering best practices across the development lifecycle, including Agile methodologies, coding standards, code reviews, source management, build processes, testing, and operations
• Good communication skills to work with business users and technical teams, collect requirements, and explain data modeling decisions and data engineering strategy
• Ability to work directly with remote technical teams

• Proactively anticipate and resolve potential data issues before they escalate, driving operational excellence, trust, and data integrity across the enterprise
