We are currently seeking talented, business-savvy professionals to join Customs Classification Analyst based in Jakarta. This position will present you with outstanding professional challenges, diverse learning opportunities and career growth.
Customs Classification Analyst is responsible for ensuring accurate product classification in compliance with global and local customs regulations. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and collaboration across multiple functions to support trade compliance and operational efficiency.
YOUR ‘DAY TO DAY’
- Analyze and assign Harmonized System (HS) codes for finished goods, equipment, raw materials, and non-production items in PMI according to the applicable jurisdictions.
- Interpret and apply international, local customs regulations, judicial rulings, and official decisions to ensure correct classification of products.
- Prepare and maintain detailed records of classification decisions and related government agency determinations to support audits and respond to inquiries from customs authorities, customers, or suppliers.
- Accurately input classification data and government agency determinations into internal systems such as Tax Portal 2.0 and SAP.
- Communicate classification decisions clearly to key stakeholders, including Trade Compliance, Logistics, Sales, Project Managers, and cross-functional leaders.
- Provide guidance to internal teams and external partners on day-to-day classification matters.
- Assist in internal export compliance audits, risk assessments, and contribute to process improvement initiatives to strengthen trade compliance programs.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- Min. Bachelor’s degree, preferably in international Trade, Supply Chain management, Business Administration, Finance, or related field
- Between 3–5 years of experience in Finance, Indirect Tax of customs, Supply Chain area within International Logistics and Foreign Trade Compliance with International and Local Laws and regulations related to Logistics/Trade
- Proficiency in SAP, Excel, MS Office, and trade compliance systems is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail, and Excellent communication ability both oral and written business English are required.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and influence cross-functional decisions.
- Comfortable with technology and digitalization trends, including AI tools, automation, and process optimization
- Willing to be located in Jakarta/Surabaya, preferably Jakarta
