Position Title:  Project Engineer

Do you have strong project engineering experience and a proven track record of delivering engineering projects within a manufacturing environment?

We are looking for a Project Engineer based in İzmir, Torbalı to lead the planning, coordination, and execution of engineering projects at PMTM, one of PMI's largest manufacturing sites. In this role, you will manage projects from concept and design through installation, commissioning, and handover while ensuring safety, quality, budget, and timeline objectives are met.

Your Responsibilities

Project Planning & Engineering

• Define project scope, technical requirements, timelines, budgets, and resources.
• Prepare project plans, technical specifications, and tender documents.
• Review engineering designs and technical solutions from suppliers and contractors.
• Identify project risks and implement mitigation plans.
• Ensure compliance with legal and PMI standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Project Execution

• Lead on-site implementation of engineering projects in an operating factory environment.
• Coordinate contractors, suppliers, and cross-functional teams during installation and construction activities.
• Monitor project progress, resolve technical issues, and ensure execution aligns with scope, schedule, and budget.
• Oversee equipment installation, testing, commissioning, and start-up activities.
• Ensure successful handover of new systems and equipment to operations and maintenance teams.

Safety, Quality & Stakeholder Management

• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and technical standards.
• Conduct risk assessments and manage contractor safety performance.
• Lead equipment qualification, validation, and change management activities.
• Track project budgets, CAPEX spending, and performance metrics.
• Prepare project updates and collaborate closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Sustainability, Procurement, and other stakeholders.

What We Are Looking For

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical/Electronics, Mechatronics, or related Engineering disciplines.
• 5+ years of experience in project engineering or engineering project management.
• Hands-on experience delivering engineering projects within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience in equipment installation, construction, commissioning, or production infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of project planning, contractor management, budgeting, technical documentation, and risk management.
• Experience working in live production environments with cross-functional teams.
• Fluent English, written and spoken.
• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and MS Project.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
• Safety-focused, quality-driven, and results-oriented mindset.
• Project management certification is considered an advantage.
• Experience using AI-powered tools to improve project planning, engineering analysis, documentation, or execution is a plus.
