Your ‘day to day’:
Plan and coordinate the Internal Logistics Department, responsible for all materials delivery within the manufacturing area and ensure these activities are performed in a controlled manner, adhering to applicable laws and practices, and in the most cost-efficient way.
Major accountabilities:
- Manage, plan, and lead internal logistics operations in compliance with sustainability, quality, and legal requirements.
- Develop and lead an autonomous team according to internal logistics capabilities, contributing to the strategy definition for Factory Logistics.
- Ensure that the internal logistics team complies with all legal standards, policies, and guidelines related to environment, health, safety, and sustainability to prevent personnel, asset, or societal loss.
- Lead the inventory management strategy to ensure 100% physical and system-wise stock accuracy at all times, maintaining Always Inspection Ready (AIR) status.
- Proactively lead the quality program in cooperation with relevant stakeholders to prevent quality incidents and reduce or eliminate non-conformities in the process and product integrity.
- Oversee and own the Work Process Compliance, ensuring it is properly deployed and effectively standardizes the way of working.
- Create, establish, and review preferred methods to define operational procedures.
- Ensure the highest level of internal and external consumer satisfaction.
- Secure uninterrupted provision of world-class customer service through timely replenishment by coordinating with third-party LSPs.
- Oversee and own the Product Handling (PH) process, ensuring it is properly deployed and maximizes performance results and organizational health of internal logistics lines.
- Track and manage the budget for Factory Logistics.
- Communicate loss elimination priorities, plans, and responsibilities in a timely manner to ensure cross-functional alignment.
- Share knowledge and methods to encourage and foster benchmarking and continuous improvement.
- Lead Capacity Management and Zoning/Slotting DMS to achieve ideal capacity utilization and minimize travel time in operations.
- Perform regular coaching to develop the capabilities of the team in daily management systems.
- Create an environment where each team member is motivated to express their talent and potential.
Who we’re looking for:
- College Degree in Logistics, Commerce, IT, or Engineering.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Operations and Logistics.
- Proficiency in MS Office, SAP, WMS.
- Knowledge of Continuous improvement methodology (VSM, KAIZEN, PDCA… etc)
- Experience managing third-party contracted teams, including legal/regulatory requirements.
- Fluent in English and Spanish.
