Your Impact

As Sustainability Lead / EHS Manager, you will play a critical role in driving Environmental, Health & Safety excellence across our Guadalajara manufacturing site while advancing our sustainability agenda.

You will work closely with manufacturing leaders, frontline teams, and global collaborators to create safer operations, drive environmental improvements, and strengthen a culture where every employee takes ownership of safety and continuous improvement.

What You'll Be Doing

Lead Safety & Environmental Excellence

  • Drive Environmental, Health & Safety programs across the manufacturing site.
  • Ensure compliance with local laws, corporate requirements, and global standards.
  • Lead audits, inspections, corrective actions, and risk mitigation initiatives.
  • Monitor key EHS indicators and drive continuous improvement actions.
  • Promote a proactive safety culture through coaching, engagement, and visible leadership.

Advance Sustainability Performance

  • Support initiatives focused on:
  • Energy efficiency
  • Water management
  • Waste reduction
  • Environmental impact reduction
  • Contribute to the achievement of sustainability targets and long-term operational goals.
  • Partner with manufacturing teams to integrate sustainability into everyday operations.

Drive Cultural Transformation

  • Influence leaders, supervisors, contractors, and frontline employees.
  • Build accountability and ownership around safety and sustainability.
  • Act as a trusted advisor for EHS-related decisions and risk management.
  • Support change management initiatives in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Accelerate Continuous Improvement

  • Collaborate with Operations teams to improve performance through Lean methodologies.
  • Support initiatives related to Open+, TPM, WCM, IWS, Lean Six Sigma, and operational excellence programs.
  • Help foster a culture of innovation, learning, and continuous improvement.

Who We're Looking For

You are a leader who combines technical expertise with the ability to inspire and influence others.

You likely bring:

  • A degree in Environmental, Industrial, Chemical Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field.
  • Experience in EHS, Sustainability, Health & Safety, Environmental Management, or related areas within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working in multinational organizations.
  • Knowledge of EHS management systems, environmental compliance, audits, and sustainability practices.
  • Strong partner management and communication skills.
  • A hands-on approach and a visible presence on the shop floor.

What Will Make You Stand Out

  • Experience in FMCG, Food & Beverage, Consumer Goods, Automotive, Electronics, Packaging, Chemical, or similar industries.
  • Exposure to Lean Manufacturing and operational excellence systems.
  • ISO certifications or auditing experience.
  • Experience collaborating with regional or global teams.
