Position Title:  QA Technician

Your ‘day to day’:

Ensure the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes, providing timely support to the manufacturing team during production, adhere to all relevant standards throughout the manufacturing process, manage non-conformities in intermediate and finished products by implementing effective corrective and preventive actions, and consistently apply OPEN+ standards of working.

Major accountabilities:

• Support production teams by providing Quality guidance and support in case of issues.
• Train the floor on Quality practices/procedures and ensure the operational staff remains up to date with Quality requirements.
• Plan and perform sampling, tests and analyses on the quality of tobacco, materials, semi-finished and finished products according to applicable procedures and analytical methods.
• Ensure the integrity and the timely reporting of analysis results are in the appropriate system.
• Support the analysis of material, semi-finished and Finished Goods in case approaching expiry dates in order to define the possibility of an extension especially regarding chemical analysis.
• Provide support to the production team and ensure that documentation is managed according to QMS.
• Propose and follow-up quality improvement ideas in production or other processes in Operations.
• Analyze the information and participate in small projects with influence on product quality.
• Manage the retention, storage and destruction of finished product samples.

Who we’re looking for:

• Vocational School, Technical or equivalent education.
• 1-2 years’ experience in production, quality or equivalent.
• Fluent Spanish
