JOB PURPOSE

Ensure the availability of Direct Materials at optimal cost through sourcing strategies aligned with PMI requirements and external market conditions. Lead regional Source‑to‑Contract activities to deliver agility, cost efficiency, supply security, and sustainability.

Key outcomes include strategy preparation and deployment, accurate budgeting, material cost management, supplier performance, responsible supplier base development, productivity initiatives, risk management, and the handling of commercial claims.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

Category Management

  1. Category Strategy Deployment
  • Lead and/or implement regional and/or global sourcing strategies for assigned categories.
  • Drive data‑driven sourcing activities, including competitive bidding processes, supplier negotiations, volume projections, terms and conditions, and logistical inputs.
  • Manage vendor portfolio optimization initiatives, including innovation, standardization, streamlining, and (re)contracting.

2. Supplier Relationship Management

  • Conduct supplier QBRs, qualification, onboarding, and performance management activities.
  • Implement improvement initiatives and ensure end‑to‑end compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Lead negotiations on commercial claims or matters with financial impact.
  • Proactively identify supply and operational risks and maintain readiness for Business Continuity Plan (BCP) activation.

3. Compliance

  • Ensure full adherence to local regulations, PMI policies, procurement processes, and EHS protocols.
  • Lead contractual processes and verify accuracy of execution.
  • Support internal audits and ensure documentation integrity.
  • Drive procurement governance by leading key compliance processes, maintaining critical performance datasets, coordinating cross‑functional alignment, and steering governance and continuous improvement meetings.

4. Value Creation and Productivity

  • Identify and implement productivity and price‑driven initiatives at regional and global level.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Planning, GDDH, Supply Chain, QA, Global Procurement and manufacturing sites to deliver savings and ensure transparent reporting.
  • Act as Procurement Element Leader for NPI or revamp projects.

5. Standardization & Simplification

  • Drive material harmonization, standard methodology adoption, and specification simplification across markets.
  • Maintain accurate pricing and procurement master data in SAP, including info records and source lists.

6. Sustainability

  • Support the deployment of Responsible Sourcing Principles (RSP) and contribute to PMI’s Sustainability agenda.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Professional Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Procurement or Supply Chain within a multinational environment.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes, supply markets, and commodities.

Languages

  • Fluent in English.

Education

  • University degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field.
