YOUR ACCOUNTABILITIES
- You are responsible for direct and indirect taxes (incl. customs) for the markets in Germany and Austria.
- You ensure all compliance requirements and proper management of all current and deferred taxes as well as tax risks
- Preparation of quarterly tax reporting packages
- You act as the main contact for authorities and support our leadership and business teams in ad-hoc tax-related requests and future business initiatives
- You supervise our tax audits
- You work on international projects and process improvements
YOUR PROFILE
- Hold a degree in taxation, accounting, finance, economics, or a related field.
- German Certified Tax Advisor exam “Steuerberater (m/f/d)”
- At least 4 years prior experience in a multinational corporation and/or a Big 4 advisory firm in a similar position
- Deep technical expertise in German Corporate Income Tax, Trade tax and good understanding of VAT and international tax principles (Double Tax Treaties, Transfer Pricing etc.)
- Possess a strong understanding of accounting standards (IFRS, HGB) and experience with ERP software (SAP or similar)
- Independent, responsible, structured way of working and (tax) tech-minded
- Strong analytical thinking and judgment skills as well as a strong focus on results
- Ability to communicate legal issues in a comprehensible manner
- Strong communication skills, coupled with high teamwork ability & proactivity
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications: PowerPoint, Excel, Word
- Business fluent in German and English, both written and spoken
