YOUR ACCOUNTABILITIES:
In this role you are responsible for developing and leading the multi-category (CC, OTP, SFP) trade activation & engagement strategy of IR universe of Germany composed of 70k physical touch points in 3 different channels (independent, convenience & regional KA, food KA). You design and develop the most effective trade engagement framework for every channel (independent, convenience & regional KA, food KA) including the organization of trade fairs and events to emotionally bond retailers and their staff to PMG and PMG portfolio for an elevated multi-category performance at touch point level
- You develop & design the contractual framework for independent retail. In line with the national assortment, visibility and advocacy strategy, make sure to create the most efficient multi-category contractual framework including diverse activation schemes for the independent universe.
- You lead IQOS Partner retail layer in Germany. From designing the most effective contractual landscape, till the coverage strategy, continuous conceptual improvement, performance analysis, program management as well as visibility setup, ensure the deployment of a healthy, sustainable IQOS Partner network in Germany.
- You ensure the education of retailers on PMG multi-category portfolio together with the mystery shopping management such that the product messages to the right consumer groups can be delivered accordingly.
- In close collaboration with external affairs, you lead trade media management utilizing trade press tools / platforms (magazines, websites, events) to increase awareness and recall on our multi-category portfolio and company goals / strategy to further grow impact.
- You continuously collaborate with channel heads/managers, category heads/managers, frontliners, occasionally with category HOFs, legal & EA colleagues, purchasing to manage IR trade activation & engagement in the most effective way. Manage 8+ external vendors (global, regional, local agencies, suppliers) to ensure best design & deployment of various tools, mechanics, programs.
- You lead and develop your team (~10 members)
- You establish timely and accurate cost tracking and forecasting in line with Finance cycles (analyzing budget for transactional cost across own and stakeholder budget and therefore providing valid vendor overview to identify optimization potential over time and orchestrate frontliners accordingly)
YOUR PROFILE:
- Bachelor and/or Masters Degree in marketing management, economics or any other relevant studies.
- Minimum 7 to 10 years working experience in marketing, sales or commercial disciplines out of which min. 4 years should be in a leading role. Previous frontline, channel management roles are as advantage.
- Ability to lead diverse teams internally & externally.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Language skills: English and German fluent in spoken and written.
- Strong project management & analytical thinking skills - to get projects delivered also under time pressure.
- Willingness to travel approx. 10-15%
- Comfortable dealing with ambiguity, white space and unknown circumstances.
