Role summary:

 

We are looking for a Resource Lead to play a key role in connecting Manufacturing Operations with the Site Integrated Planning (SIP) organization. In this position, you will ensure that production planning is based on accurate capacity assumptions and optimized resource utilization, enabling efficient, reliable, and sustainable manufacturing operations.

You will work closely with Production, Maintenance, Engineering, Training, and Planning teams to ensure that manufacturing constraints and capabilities are fully considered in the production planning process.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

In this role you are responsible for optimizing production capacity and resource utilization by managing workforce planning, maintenance schedules, training activities, production trials, and engineering initiatives. Acting as the key link between Manufacturing and Supply & Inventory Planning (SIP), the role ensures that production plans are realistic, aligned with operational constraints, and support the plant’s operating strategy.

The role collaborates closely with SIP and cross-functional teams to manage production deviations, optimize schedules, support quality requirements, and implement product or process changes with minimal disruption. A strong focus is placed on improving planning accuracy, operational efficiency, and cost performance through effective utilization of labor, equipment, and inventory.

In addition, the Resource Lead supports long-term capacity and budget planning, drives continuous improvement initiatives, and ensures compliance with safety, environmental, and sustainability standards. Through clear communication, collaboration, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, the role contributes to operational excellence and the ongoing development of the organization.

 

Qualifications:

 

Education

  • University degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Production Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration, or related fields.

 

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Manufacturing and/or Supply Chain.
  • Experience in Production Planning or Supply Chain Planning is strongly preferred.
  • Experience working in a complex manufacturing environment.

 

Skills and Competencies

 

This role requires a solid understanding of manufacturing operations and the supporting functions that influence production performance, including Maintenance, Engineering, Training, Production Trials, and Workforce Planning. The successful candidate has strong knowledge of production planning, capacity management, and scheduling processes, combined with well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience with manufacturing systems and production scheduling tools is essential to effectively manage production requirements and optimize resource utilization.

The role also demands the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple functions and organizational levels, building strong working relationships to support operational goals. Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies such as OPEN+, Lean Manufacturing, TPM, or similar frameworks is considered a strong advantage. In addition, excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are required to ensure clear coordination, alignment, and decision-making across the organization.
