Position Title:  Director Manufacturing

Role summary: 

We are looking for an experienced Manufacturing Director to lead our manufacturing operations and ensure the delivery of products at the required volume, quality, cost, and compliance standards. In this senior leadership role, you will set direction, build a high-performing operations organisation, and drive continuous improvement across safety, quality, delivery, and cost.

Key responsibilities

You will be accountable for end-to-end performance across the areas below:

• Sustainability, EHS & security: Lead the implementation of Environmental, Health, Safety and Security programs to ensure compliance with company policies and applicable local regulations; coordinate crisis management actions at site level.
• Quality: Lead Quality Assurance to ensure consistent product quality in line with specifications; drive continuous optimisation of standards and practices; oversee operational readiness for new product introductions and regulatory compliance.
• Delivery: Direct production activities to meet volume, quality, and cost targets.
• Cost & asset care: Ensure factory equipment and building installations are maintained effectively and cost-efficiently.
• People leadership: Build, coach, and develop a strong operations organisation; ensure structure, capabilities, and processes support manufacturing objectives.
• Site & business leadership: As a senior member of the management committee, support the Managing Director in shaping operations and wider business strategies to drive profitability and sustainable growth.
• Purchasing & logistics: Ensure purchasing and logistics activities are well coordinated; manage procurement in economical quantities in line with policies; develop suppliers and lead cost-effective contract negotiations while meeting quality and service requirements.

Who we’re looking for

• Senior leadership experience in manufacturing/operations, with end-to-end accountability for safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
• Strong working knowledge of EHS management systems and regulatory compliance in an industrial environment.
• Proven track record in quality assurance and continuous improvement (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, or similar approaches).
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams (production, maintenance/engineering, QA, supply chain) and developing organisational capability.
• Loss elimination mindset with experience in budgeting and cost optimization, productivity initiatives.
• Ability to lead through change, communicate clearly at all levels, and collaborate effectively with senior stakeholders.
