RISE TO THE CHALLENGE
Philip Morris Management Services (Middle East) Ltd (PMMS) is looking for Commercial Planning Manager to join the team. As a Commercial Planning Manager, you will be part of the Commercial Planning team, reporting to the Head of Commercial Planning.
Commercial Planning Manager role is responsible for driving high‑impact business growth and expansion opportunities through focused mapping and integrated portfolio initiatives and commercial planning activities.
This role acts as a strategic orchestrator, translating consumer, channel, and competitive intelligence into actionable growth initiatives, while working through a complex, cross‑functional ecosystem to ensure strong execution on the ground across Middle East markets.
YOUR ‘DAY TO DAY’
Business Growth, Strategy & Commercial Planning
- Drive high‑impact growth initiatives through robust commercial planning and portfolio optimization.
- Develop and deploy integrated business plans across markets and channels, ensuring clear strategic intent and execution pathways.
- Translate ambiguous or undefined opportunities into structured plans, milestones, and outcomes.
- Act as a strategic partner to commercial leadership by providing clarity, foresight, and strong recommendations.
Portfolio & Multicategory Strategy
- Lead multicategory strategy, develop strong understanding of each category’s role, economics, and growth levers to maximize portfolio performance.
- Identify category expansion, white spaces, and innovation opportunities by channel and geography.
- Conduct multicategory industry and portfolio analysis to anticipate risks, shifts, and emerging opportunities.
Consumer & Channel Intelligence
- Lead competitive intelligence across markets, portfolios, and pricing dynamics.
- Analyze consumer profiles, mission-based behaviors, and cultural trends to inform strategy and innovation.
- Evaluate channel dynamics and performance across geographies to optimize portfolio deployment.
- Build fact-based narratives that connect consumer insights to commercial opportunities.
Strategic Deployment & Initiative Leadership
- Own the strategy-to-deployment process while working closely with relevant deployment teams
- Identify opportunities, priorities, track progress, remove roadblocks, and ensure initiatives deliver measurable impact.
Cross‑Functional Leadership & Stakeholder Management
- Continuous collaboration and influence across a complex internal ecosystem, working with teams responsible for commercial negotiations and execution, retail concepts and physical deployment, consumer engagement strategies, strategic channel projects (including AI‑driven initiatives), financial planning and forecasting, governance and compliance, and operational feasibility.
- Acts as a bridge between strategy and execution, mediating between competing priorities to drive alignment, momentum, and effective delivery.
Who we’re looking for
- Candidate must be currently based in the UAE
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, with a proven track record of driving business growth through strategic initiatives
- Well-established, robust experience in commercial planning, portfolio strategy, or adjacent roles, within FMCG or consumer goods and complex, multi‑market environments
- Strong commercial acumen, able to translate data, consumer insights, and market intelligence into actionable plans
- Solid understanding of consumer behavior, channel dynamics, and portfolio management; multicategory exposure is a strong plus
- Proven ability to operate across diverse geographies and consumer profiles, ideally in high‑growth regions
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, with experience working across senior and cross‑functional stakeholders
- Comfortable with ambiguity, self‑driven, and able to drive initiatives from strategy through execution in matrixed, cross‑cultural organizations
- Demonstrates a growth mindset, with curiosity, learning agility, and appreciation for premium, experiential consumer environments
