We’re currently looking for a:
Distribution Trainee within Philip Morris Senegal Distribution team
Key responsibilities:
As a Distribution Trainee, you will team up with the team to: (among other responsibilities)
- Customer Management Support: Assist in creation, maintaining and updating customer data, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Help respond to customer queries and support the resolution of issues related to orders, deliveries, and account information. Support data audits and clean-up initiatives.
- Order Processing and Invoicing: Participate in the end-to-end order management process, including order entry, validation, and invoicing. Ensure that orders are processed in a timely and accurate manner and support the Distribution Exec. with the reconciliation of invoicing discrepancies.
- Delivery Coordination: Work closely with the Distribution Exec. and Service Delivery team to schedule and track deliveries. Help monitor delivery timelines, follow up on delays, and ensure customers receive their orders as planned.
- Reporting and Analysis: Assist in preparing regular and ad-hoc reports related to distribution activities, such as order volumes, delivery performance, and customer satisfaction. Support data analysis to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Where required, liaise with internal teams including Field Sales teams, Go-To-Market, Digital Team, to ensure smooth coordination and communication across functions. Participate in meetings and contribute to discussions on distribution-related topics.
- Process Improvement Participation: Observe and document current distribution processes and suggest improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Support the implementation of new tools or procedures as needed.
- Learning and Development: Engage in training sessions and shadow experienced team members to gain a comprehensive understanding of distribution operations. Take initiative to learn about systems, tools, and best practices used in the department.
Requirements:
- University degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Very good experience with MS Excel
- Proficient with other Microsoft Office Tools
- Solid analytical skills for identifying patterns and trends to use in process improvement recommendations
- Ability to work cross functionally with all different departments
- Strong business intelligence and appreciation for confidentiality in sensitive situations
