As our next Category Manager for Technical Materials you will lead Global and Regional negotiations related to Technical materials, managing global and regional spend on each Manufacturing center. You will develop, validate and coordinate implementation of Global Category Strategy for Technical Materials and Auxiliary Equipment aimed at supply security, cost optimization, value creation with Global TM suppliers, potential risk mitigation, process optimization, compliance with PMI policies and standards. 

 

Your ‘Day To Day’

 

  • Develop, validate and coordinate implementation of Global Category Strategy for Technical Materials and Auxiliary Equipment aimed at supply security, cost optimization, value creation with Global TM suppliers, potential risk mitigation, process optimization, compliance with PMI policies and standards;
  • Manage a team of 5 people across different geographical areas;
  • Manage Global TM suppliers` performance though proper Supplier Relationship Management: ensure proper supplier onboarding/qualification, define KPIs, gather KPIs and feedback from Regional TP teams and business on supplier performance, provide this information to supplier during Quaterly Business Reviews, formulate and control supplier performance improvement plan in case of misperformance;
  • Identify and lead high complex optimization initiatives related to Technical Procurement processes. Take an active role in cross-regional complex optimization programs through sharing and implementing best practices. Ensure internal stakeholders understand the value of standardization & simplification and follow the standard & cost driven approach in their projects/initiatives;
  • Enhance implementation of Sustainability program leveraging on reliable collaboration with Global TM suppliers. Contribute to Responsible Sourcing Principles deployment providing process and performance requirements applicable to all suppliers doing business with PMI;
  • Adhere to all Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) rules, policies and practices. Pass through appropriate EHS trainings, apply received knowledge at work.
    Inspect and use personal protective equipment as appropriate.

 

Who we're looking for

 

  • University Degree in Economics / Finance / Supply Chain or Management/Industrial Engineering;
  • 5+ Years of experience in Operations, within a large multinational organization with large exposure to stakeholder management; Procurement experience is a plus;
  • Having worked in large complex organizations, you possess solid Agility and are able to manage shifting priorities accordingly;
  • 2+ Years of Managerial Experience, having led teams across aspects of recruiment, performance management and development;
  • Demonstrated experience in cross-functional activities, being able to influence without direct authority, while maintaining an international outlook is a plus;
  • Fluency in English both written and spoken.

In this position you will earn no less than €77.450 euros annually.
