Roles & Objectives

As an Intern you will be a part of one of our dynamic teams: Quality Control Center of Excellence (CoE), Quality Control or Decentralized Laboratory for Philip Morris Manufacturing & Technology Bologna S.p.A. The positions will be based in Bologna.

In these roles, you will support laboratory operations, quality analysis and process optimization in a multicultural, data-driven environment.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Perform physical/chemical tests on raw materials, semi-finished and finished products.
• Support equipment troubleshooting and complex testing procedures.
• Assist in optimizing lab processes and analytical methods.
• Collect and analyse testing data to identify improvement opportunities.
• Contribute to the development of a Cost of Testing framework and KPI reporting.
• Maintain sample traceability and ensure proper documentation.
• Propose and lead initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce waste.

Who we’re looking for:

• Degree in Chemistry, Biology, Management Engineering or similar.
• Computer skills (MS Office).
• Proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Willingness to adapt to new challenges and learn quickly in a dynamic environment.
• Collaboration skills and the ability to engage with multiple stakeholders.
• Fluency in English and Italian.
