Roles & Objectives
As a Lab Analyst Intern, you will be part of the Decentralized Laboratories of Philip Morris Manufacturing & Technology Bologna S.p.A.
The position will be based in Crespellano (BO).
In this role, you will support the execution of routine laboratory analyses and technical activities, applying established methods and procedures. Your work will contribute to ensuring that raw materials, semi-finished, and finished products are properly tested and monitored according to quality standards.
You will also collaborate in ensuring that laboratory instruments are properly calibrated to guarantee the accuracy and reliability of the analyses. Additionally, you will assist in performing calibration checks and testing activities to monitor both instruments and materials performance.
Specific Responsibilities
- Support the execution of quality control plans by performing physical and chemical tests on raw materials, semi-finished, and finished products, ensuring accurate and timely data entry in the laboratory systems.
- Assist in operating and maintaining laboratory equipment according to internal and ISO procedures, including basic verification and calibration activities, under supervision.
- Contribute to the identification and management of non-conformities, supporting the implementation of corrective and preventive actions, and helping to keep procedures updated.
- Ensure compliance with company standards and regulations on Environment, Health, Safety, and Sustainability, actively contributing to a safe and responsible workplace.
- Support initiatives aimed at improving and digitalizing laboratory processes, and assist during internal and external audits.
- Participate in team projects related to product quality improvement and process optimization.
- Help manage retention samples and ensure proper data recording for traceability purposes.
- Collaborate with team members by sharing relevant information to support efficient laboratory operations.
Who we’re looking for:
- University degree in a STEM field
- Strong interest in technology and innovation
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Positive attitude, curiosity, and willingness to learn
- Ability to work both independently and in a team
- Fluency in English and Italian
