Your ‘day to day’:
As Lab Analyst you will be part of our Quality department for Philip Morris Manufacturing & Technology Bologna S.p.A.
The position will be based in Crespellano (BO).
A key responsibility is to apply well-defined methods and work instructions to perform routine analyses and technical activities to ensure that all raw materials, semi-finished and finished products are appropriately analyzed and monitored.
You will ensure that instruments are calibrated for accuracy, precision and reliability of the analysis. You also will carry out calibration and/or calibration verification and collaborative test on instruments and materials (Raw Materials, Finished Goods and semi-finished) to monitor the instruments and materials performances.
Your Responsibilities:
- Execute quality plans and perform physical/chemical tests on raw materials, semi-finished, and finished products. Guarantee accurate and timely reporting in the laboratory management system.
- Operate, verify, and calibrate laboratory equipment per PMI and ISO requirements, maintaining logbooks and resolving deviations using problem-solving tools.
- Manage non-conformities and implement corrective/preventive actions. Update and standardize procedures to improve quality processes.
- Ensure full compliance with PMI and legal standards on Environment, Health, Safety, and Sustainability, promoting a proactive safety culture.
- Contribute to projects impacting product quality, ensuring compliance with QMS and ISO 9001/17025 standards.
- Manage retention samples and ensure proper data recording for full traceability.
- Share relevant information to support smooth quality processes and team productivity.
Who we’re looking for:
- Master’s degree in chemistry (or equivalent disciplines)
- Knowledge in MS Office Package.
- Knowledge of International standards (ISO). Advanced knowledge on Quality tools, root cause analysis, analytical skills, statistical tool knowledge. Ability to transform data into information (reporting skills).
- Upper-intermediate English
