Your day-to-day:
As a Lab Admin, you will be part of the Decentralized Laboratories within the Research & Development function of Philip Morris Manufacturing & Technology Bologna S.p.A.
The position will be based in Crespellano (BO).
A key responsibility is to perform administrative and operational duties with technical or specialized content, operate specific computer programs, and provide coordination support to ensure efficient day-to-day assistance to management.
You will be responsible for a global sample flow, managing the acceptance of laboratory samples from manufacturing sites, prototyping environments, and Central R&D in line with PMI and ISO requirements.
Ensure data integrity and quality by maintaining logbooks, resolving deviations with structured problem-solving approaches, and delivering accurate, timely reporting through the laboratory management system.
Your Responsibilities:
- Perform the acceptance step of laboratory samples from manufacturing and related technical activities as per PMI and ISO requirements, maintaining logbooks and resolving deviations using problem-solving tools. Guarantee accurate and timely reporting in the laboratory management system.
- Respond to information requests that require gathering information from various sources and prepare ad hoc correspondence or reports to meet stakeholders' needs.
- Connect with external partners of the department, follow up on corrective actions, and resolve issues according to guidelines and procedures to meet internal and external business requirements.
- Manage non-conformities and implement corrective and preventive actions. Update and standardize procedures to improve quality processes.
- Ensure full compliance with PMI and legal standards on Environment, Health, Safety, and Sustainability, promoting a proactive safety culture and maintaining a safe and healthy workplace.
- Drive the digitalization and standardization of laboratory processes, ensuring compliance with UNI CEI EN ISO/IEC 17025:2018 and supporting internal and external audits.
- Contribute to projects impacting product quality, ensuring compliance with QMS and ISO 9001/17025 standards.
- Manage retention samples and ensure proper data recording for full traceability.
- Share relevant information to support smooth quality processes and team productivity.
Who we're looking for:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in scientific, technical, or engineering fields (e.g., Chemistry, Biology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Engineering) or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of the MS Office package.
- Knowledge of international standards (ISO).
- Advanced knowledge of quality tools, root cause analysis, analytical methodologies, and statistical tools.
- Ability to transform data into meaningful information and reports.
- Upper-intermediate English.
Contract type:
Fixed-term contract, 6 months.
