Your ‘day to day’

As a Digital Product Owner (also known as Business System Owner), you will own a Quality digital product end‑to‑end—pairing business insight with platform expertise (e.g., Veeva QualityOne, LabVantage GOLD) to deliver value at scale. You will:

  • Translate real user needs into outcomes and a transparent backlog, prioritizing work that measurably improves quality, compliance, and flow.
  • Lead discovery and delivery with Quality Process Owners, Manufacturing, Labs, IT and suppliers—turning ideas into shippable increments that are validated and adopted.
  • Run change the right way by aligning with the PMI Quality Management System (QMS) and change control, ensuring audit‑ready documentation and traceability.
  • Steward data and integrations so master data stays consistent across modules/products and analytics can be trusted.
  • Measure product health (adoption, cycle time, incident/change lead time, validation status) and use insights to focus improvements.
  • Plan and implement enhancements from small changes to larger releases, coordinating cross‑functional impact and communications.
  • Support continuous compliance by leading investigations for non‑conformances, supporting CAPAs within your product scope, and preparing for audits.

More specifically, you'll

  • Own the product roadmap from ideation through delivery and adoption—aligning goals with Quality strategy and user needs; advocate for connected capabilities that unlock end‑to‑end value.
  • Convert feedback into clear requirements (epics, user stories, acceptance criteria) and sequence work by value, risk and compliance impact.
  • Drive changes through QMS: ensure requests follow change control, benefits/rationale are collected, risks assessed, and releases are validated and documented.
  • Coordinate across functions and partners (process owners, IT/platform teams, suppliers) to deliver on time, on scope, and in line with platform strategy.
  • Safeguard data quality and interoperability: align master data and integration contracts with adjacent modules/products; assess impacts of new feature releases.
  • Lead investigations and continuous improvement for your product’s non‑conformances; support CAPAs and audit readiness activities.
  • Champion agile ways of working (e.g., Scrum/SAFe events, definition of done/ready, incremental delivery, retrospectives) and foster a learning culture.

Who we’re looking for

Must‑have qualifications & experience

  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
  • Minimum 3+ years in a Product Owner/Business System Owner (or similar) role in complex, regulated environments, with a track record of shipping usable capabilities.
  • Confirmed ability to translate stakeholder input into a prioritized roadmap and write clear user stories/acceptance criteria.
  • Experience running impact and risk assessments and guiding changes through QMS/change control in collaboration with Process Owners and QA.
  • Agile delivery experience (Scrum/SAFe): backlog management, iterative delivery, metrics‑driven decisions, and cross‑functional facilitation.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical/regulatory topics in plain language to diverse audiences.

Nice to have

  • Hands‑on familiarity with Veeva QualityOne and/or LabVantage in Quality processes (e.g., NC/CAPA, Deviations, Change Management, Document/Learning).
  • Exposure to GxP / 21 CFR Part 11 / CSV and inspection readiness activities.
  • Awareness of responsible AI patterns (e.g., search/assistants/semantic layers) and how they’re applied safely.
  • Certifications such as SAFe Agilist/Practitioner, PMI‑ACP, or PMP.
