Roles & Objectives

As an Intern you will be part of our CoE Automation & Process Control Department for Philip Morris Manufacturing & Technology Bologna S.p.A./Philip Morris Italia and will be reporting to The Manager of the CoE Automation & Process Control. The position will be based in Bologna.

In your role, you will join the Center of Excellence for Automation & Process Control, supporting the global deployment and continuous improvement of Operational Technology (OT) standards across manufacturing sites. You will contribute to key initiatives focused on loss elimination, obsolescence management, and digital transformation, while ensuring business continuity and compliance with cybersecurity and quality standards.

 

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Support OT standards deployment, including cybersecurity and training.
  • Assist in loss analysis using advanced tools and methods.
  • Contribute to machine/process integration and connectivity improvements.
  • Help manage global equipment obsolescence to ensure continuity.
  • Support Track & Trace and digital manufacturing initiatives.
  • Collaborate across affiliates to drive productivity and synergies.
  • Help define process standards and provide feedback to OEMs.
  • Contribute to solution design for OT, quality, and safety improvements.

 

Who we’re looking for:

 

  • Graduate of Automation, Electronics, Engineering, Manufacturing IT or Mechatronics
  • Knowledge of Operational Technology (OT): Automation, Process Control systems
  • A flexible-minded individual with a program and project management mindset
  • With a deep of Manufacturing (OT) – IT interaction
  • Motivated person
  • Proficient English speaker
