This position sits with our Swedish Match affiliate.

 

Your ‘day to day’:

The Account Sales Manager represents Swedish Match U.S. Sales Division and its products in assigned Regional Accounts (typically medium to large direct and indirect accounts).

 

Performs the following selling activities that positively affect business and effectively utilizes all available company resources:

 

Manages all aspects of customer engagement; inclusive of, but not limited to OTP Agreements, presentation development and delivery, tactical program execution, performance tracking and measurement, payment administration, category management (POG analysis, recommendations), post-promotion analysis, point-of sale implementation, pricing execution.

 

Business Management

    1. Emphasis on activities that grow profitable volume and share.
    2. Contributes to the achievement of Company and Regional objectives by meeting distribution and promotion goals.
    3. Proactively identifies and capitalizes on new business opportunities.
    4. Develops and implements long and short term business plans to grow the business.
    5. Analyzes post-program data to eliminate duplication of errors and learn for improved future results.

 

Account Management

    1. Develops and maintains good working relationships with retail and wholesale key decisions makers in existing and new accounts.
    2. Effectively sells concepts, programs and products to all assigned customers.
    3. Penetrates accounts at all functional and organizational levels.
    4. Establish Swedish Match as Category Captain by consistently building credibility.
    5. Manages all administrative tasks on-time, with consistent accuracy.
    6. Maintains HQ call frequencies as established by KAM/BDM/RSD.

 

Functional Knowledge & Skills (Technical)

    1. Understands and effectively uses tools and resources necessary to be an effective Account Sales Manager.
      1. Microsoft Office (Outlook, Power Point, Excel, Word)
      2. MSA Data (Standardized reports and ability to pull ad hoc information to customize customer information and opportunity)
      3. CRM - A (MAFs, store lists, trade programs, campaigns, customer contact information, authorized items)
    2. Analyze and draw accurate conclusions from shipping/financial information and make sound decisions and recommendations.

 

Administration/Communications

    1. Plans and coordinates work activities according to priority.
    2. Establishes efficient work procedures to ensure business objectives are met in a timely and accurate fashion.
    3. Sets goals and develops strategies to ensure business goals are met.
    4. Anticipates obstacles and can define alternative strategies.
    5. Effectively and succinctly communicates ideas and issues internally and externally across Swedish Match Field Sales and assigned customer organizations.
    6. Challenges and proposes improvements as necessary through the appropriate channels.

Who we’re looking for:

    • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
    • Experience in non-durable consumer goods sales strongly recommended.
    • Three to five years with some retail sales, wholesale grocery or route sales preferred in a fact-based selling environment.
    • Familiarity with assigned customer's tobacco regulatory requirements is preferred
    • Proficient verbal and written presentation skills.
    • Accomplished presentation skills, including the ability to develop and deliver effective, data-driven, fact-based SIERA presentations.
    • Develops and maintains a positive, cooperative working relationship with customers, peers and superiors.
    • Assumes personal accountability for achievement of business goals.
    • Self-motivated.
    • Displays a high energy level and positive attitude toward business objectives and "getting things done".
    • Intermediate to proficient skills in Excel and PowerPoint.
      Very strong organizational skills are required.
    • Legally authorized to work in the U.S.

 

 

Annual Base Salary Range: $75,000 - $100,000
