We are looking for an experienced and inspiring Regional Sales Manager to lead our Western Cape sales team and drive sustainable business growth across the region.

As Regional Sales Manager, you will lead a team of sales professionals, partner closely with customers and distributors, and drive the successful execution of commercial initiatives across the Western Cape. You will also play an important role in developing future talent and building a high-performing, inclusive team culture.
Your day to day
Regional Business Performance
- Develop and execute the regional business plan based on market insights, consumer understanding, and commercial opportunities.
- Drive sales growth, distribution expansion, and market share performance across the region.
- Lead regional sales planning, forecasting, and performance management activities.
- Identify opportunities to improve commercial effectiveness and customer outcomes.
Customer and Trade Partnerships
- Build trusted relationships with customers, distributors, and key trade partners.
- Collaborate with customers to identify mutually beneficial growth opportunities.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to support informed decision-making.
People Leadership and Development
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of sales professionals to achieve their full potential.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, inclusion, and continuous learning.
- Support talent development, succession planning, and capability-building initiatives.
- Create an engaging environment where individuals can grow and contribute meaningfully.
Execution Excellence
- Ensure consistent implementation of commercial plans and sales initiatives across all channels.
- Allocate resources effectively to maximise business impact and customer service.
- Monitor execution standards and drive continuous improvement across the region.
Insights and Decision-Making
- Analyse sales, distribution, and market performance data to identify opportunities and risks.
- Translate insights into actions that support business growth and customer success.
- Provide accurate reporting and recommendations to stakeholders.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with internal stakeholders to align on commercial priorities and business objectives.
- Contribute to regional and national initiatives through effective collaboration and communication.
Compliance and Governance
- Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and applicable legislation.
- Promote ethical business practices and maintain the highest standards of integrity.
What We’re Looking For
- Completed National Diploma or Degree in Business, Commerce, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience leading and developing teams, including direct people management responsibility.
- Strong Regional or National Sales Management experience within a multinational FMCG environment is non-negotiable.
- Proven track record of delivering sales growth, distribution expansion, and commercial results.
- Experience leading field sales teams and developing high-performing individuals.
- Strong commercial acumen and customer-focused mindset.
- Excellent relationship-building, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
- Advanced computer literacy and experience using sales performance reporting tools.
- Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel across the Western Cape region.
