Your day to day

 

  • Deploy and Maintain Data Governance Processes: Implement data governance policies, processes, and standards to ensure data integrity and quality across the organization.
  • Collaboration and Cooperation: Work closely with data owners and collaborators to ensure alignment to data quality, confidentiality, and global standards.
  • Lead Initiatives: Head local data governance initiatives and projects, aligning them with business objectives and company policies.
  • Monitor and Enforce Policies: Conduct data quality assessments and audits to maintain high standards of data reliability and quality.
  • Identify and Solve Issues: Develop and implement solutions to improve data reliability and quality using technologies such as Snowflake, Atlan, and LeanIX.
  • Integration and Support: Work closely with Data Engineers, Data Scientists, and other collaborators to integrate data governance policies into data pipelines and models.
  • Report Metrics: Deliver reports to senior management on data governance metrics and key performance indicators.
  • Training and Support: Deliver training and support to staff on standard methodologies for data governance.

 

 

What we are looking for

 

  • Educational Background: B.Sc. in Computer Science, Information Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in role with the core focus on data governance or a similar role.
  • 6-8 years of data analytics/management experience required
  • Collaboration Skills: Proven capability to work cross-functionally with business, analytics, and IT collaborators to address challenges and coordinate data governance initiatives.
  • Certification: Certification in data governance or data management (e.g., DAMA, CDMP).
  • Technical Proficiency: Experience with data management tools and technologies such as Atlan and LeanIX.
  • AI and Machine Learning: Familiarity with the application of machine learning and AI in data governance.
  • Project Management: Strong project management skills
  • Applicants must have legal authorisation to work in the relevant countries without need for visa sponsorhip

 

Key Competencies

  • Data Governance Principles: Solid understanding of data governance principles (DAMA-DMBOK, ISO/IEC 38500, NIST AI RMF, NIST RDaaF, etc.).
  • Experience in Solutions Implementation: Hands-on experience in implementing solutions to improve data quality.
  • Proficiency in data quality management and data auditing.
  • Solid experience with data visualization tools to supervise and report on data governance metrics.
  • Superb communication and collaborator management skills.
  • Leadership: Ability to lead and manage data governance projects.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Knowledge of data privacy regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
