As part of the Southern Cluster External Affairs team, you will report to the Communications, Sustainability, and Planning Management. As Communications Manager, you will support the development and execution of the external communications strategy, ensuring the dissemination of Philip Morris Argentina’s messages across multiple platforms and to key audiences and stakeholders. You will also contribute to the creation of content aligned with PMI’s strategic direction toward a smoke‑free future.
Your Day‑to‑Day
You will be responsible for:
- Designing and implementing communication strategies and digital campaigns to strengthen corporate reputation and promote social acceptance of innovative products.
- Supporting the development of local corporate reputation initiatives by identifying and proposing relevant focus areas.
- Collaborating on the creation of regulatory communications strategies to support public policy objectives through media coverage.
- Building strategic relationships with local media and journalists specializing in economics, business, and lifestyle.
- Supporting the development and execution of the annual communications strategy, ensuring alignment across multiple areas (Leaf, P&C, Marketing, Commercial, Operations, among others).
- Contributing to content creation aligned with media strategies, co‑creating digital campaigns and narratives with the central team.
- Participating in media planning and buying execution to achieve communication objectives; analyzing campaign performance and preparing detailed reports.
- Campaign Management: developing and executing data‑driven policy advocacy campaigns; mobilizing grasstops and grassroots stakeholders across online platforms.
- Managing projects end‑to‑end, ensuring timely delivery and high‑quality standards.
- Collaborating with internal audiences and external partners (agencies, vendors, etc.) to ensure cohesive and effective campaigns.
- Managing contracts and administrative processes, ensuring compliance with internal policies and guidelines.
What We’re Looking For
- University degree in Public Relations, Communications, Political Science, or related fields. Postgraduate degree required.
- 10+ years of proven experience in communications within agencies, corporations, or the public sector (mandatory).
- Demonstrated experience managing media agendas and relationships within the media ecosystem (mandatory).
- Experience in communications consulting or as a journalist (mandatory).
- Advanced English proficiency.
- Strong creative and analytical skills.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent problem‑solving and incident management skills.
- Knowledge of digital communications.
- Adaptability and openness to new ideas and approaches in a dynamic environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- A collaborative mindset.
