Philip Morris Slovakia is now searching for a new member of the External Affairs team specifically to fill in the new Scientific Engagement Manager role.

 

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

 

  • This person will be responsible for the channeling of understanding and support into tangible legislative changes creating a differentiated regulatory framework for a new variety of innovative products. Furthermore, the role will encompass the task to increase the awareness and credibility of the harm reduction narrative and of the independent studies and the growing real-world evidence in the afore mentioned areas. Improve the understanding of PMI Science, and of our narratives will be a key purpose as well.
  • Last but not least this position will support the ongoing activities of the External Affairs team, including taking over of the management of external consultants in the medicinal field, supporting the region and specifically creating synergies between CEE markets in the area of scientific/medical engagement.

 

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

 

  • Creating and managing the Scientific Engagement strategy for Slovakia. Developing the plan in cooperation with rest of the team, presenting and ensuring the support and synergies with the broader teams within PMI. Preparing and executing of the specific Medical Strategy with specific aim at the regulatory stakeholders, as well as the expert medical associations.
  • External Engagement both as a support for the Head of External Affairs team, as well as independent engagement activities. 
  • Managing a network of external consultants and other associations and entities. Identifying new stakeholders and improving the overall delivery of the expert engagement external network. 
  • Creating a roadmap of scientific and medicinal activities, including expert attendance at medical conferences, including introduction and understanding of PMI Science.

 

 

Education: College/University Degree in medicine, public health, health economics, biology of science.

 

 

Work experience: 10+ years of work experience in either own medical practice, or pharma industry with external engagement, understanding of the SK medical and scientific environment, experience in leading teams, experience in market access, deep understanding of scientific and medical data.

Other: Fluent in EN. Strategic thinker able to create comprehensive plans. Collaborative nature as part of the "DNA", high communications skills and ability to address various stakeholders from political, expert to public at large.
