Your Impact

The Security & Market Safety Manager serves as the senior security leader for our South African manufacturing and supply chain operations, providing strategic oversight of security risk management, governance, physical security, market safety, and fleet safety.

Operating within a complex manufacturing and logistics environment, you will partner with business leaders to identify, assess, and mitigate operational risks that could impact our people, operations, products, and reputation.

Using an intelligence-led and risk-based approach, you will ensure that security strategies, emergency preparedness, and business resilience programmes support safe, compliant, and uninterrupted operations while continuously improving security capability across the organisation.

What You'll Be Doing

• Lead enterprise security risk assessments across manufacturing, warehousing, logistics, and transportation operations.
• Develop and maintain risk registers, mitigation strategies, and business continuity plans.
• Provide strategic security advice to manufacturing and supply chain leadership teams.
• Lead physical security operations including access control, guarding services, surveillance systems, and perimeter protection.
• Drive compliance with PMI Security & Market Safety standards, governance frameworks, and South African legislation.
• Lead investigations into security incidents, product losses, and operational disruptions, implementing sustainable corrective actions.
• Oversee fleet safety and transportation security programmes to ensure the secure movement of people and products.
• Manage external security providers and contractors through performance management and governance processes.
• Build strong partnerships with internal collaborators, law enforcement, and external security agencies.
• Foster a proactive security culture through awareness initiatives, training programmes, and capability building.
• Monitor security performance through KPI reporting, trend analysis, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Lead the Fleet Safety Management Committee and ensure monthly reporting requirements are completed accurately and on time.

What We're Looking For

• Completed National Diploma or Degree 
• At least 5 years of working experience leading corporate security risk management within a multinational organisation.
• Experience supporting manufacturing, industrial operations, supply chain, logistics, FMCG, pharmaceutical, mining, or similar operational environments is essential.
• Demonstrated experience implementing enterprise security governance, investigations, risk management, and business continuity programmes.
• Professional certification in Security Risk Management and/or Occupational Health & Safety is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of corporate security systems, physical security controls, incident management, and operational resilience.
• Experience influencing senior business leaders and working optimally across matrix organisations.
• Excellent communication, collaborator engagement, and leadership skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capability with a proactive approach to leading risk.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
• South African citizenship.
