As a Millwright, you'll play a critical role in maintaining and improving the reliability, performance, and efficiency of our production equipment. Working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, you'll support installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement activities that keep our operations running safely and effectively.
Your Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance, repairs, modifications, and troubleshooting on manufacturing equipment and machinery.
- Modify and configure equipment to improve reliability, efficiency, and production performance.
- Support the installation, commissioning, and optimization of new and modified machinery.
- Collaborate with contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to implement technical solutions.
- Participate in root cause analysis investigations and implement corrective actions to prevent equipment failures.
- Assist in developing and executing preventive and planned maintenance activities.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and technical documentation.
- Update plant schematics and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Utilize SAP to manage maintenance activities, spare parts, and technical information.
- Support plant shutdowns, maintenance projects, and engineering initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with quality, environmental, health, and safety requirements.
What We're Looking For
- NQF Level 4 qualification in Engineering Studies or a related field.
- Recognised Millwright Trade Certificate.
- 3-5 years' experience within a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Minimum 3 years' maintenance experience in a production or manufacturing setting.
- Experience troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and automated equipment.
- Working knowledge of SAP maintenance systems.
- Strong fault-finding, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a team and manage multiple priorities.
