Mechanical Technical Specialist

As a Mechanical Technician Specialist, you will maintain and improve the mechanical performance of production equipment to deliver production, quality, safety, and operational excellence results. You will play a key role in equipment reliability, continuous improvement, capability building, and the implementation of global manufacturing standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve the mechanical condition, reliability, and performance of production equipment to meet production, quality, and safety requirements.
• Execute and continuously improve maintenance activities, troubleshooting processes, and equipment reliability initiatives.
• Perform advanced mechanical troubleshooting, maintenance interventions, spare parts reviews, and component revisions.
• Support equipment installations, modifications, and change management activities while acting as a technical subject matter expert when required.
• Coach and support team members on maintenance processes, standard work practices, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Apply and promote global manufacturing standards, tools, and assigned champion roles to strengthen capability development and performance.
• Ensure compliance with PMI and legal requirements relating to health, safety, sustainability, environmental, and quality standards.
• Partner with Quality teams to prevent defects, reduce non-conformities, and improve product integrity and consumer satisfaction.
• Analyze losses, identify improvement opportunities, and implement problem-solving and Kaizen initiatives to improve productivity and reliability.
• Maintain accurate SAP transactions, traceability records, equipment documentation, and technical data while actively sharing knowledge and supporting team development.
  
  

Requirements

• National Diploma or Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Electromechanical Technology.
• Minimum 4 years' experience as an advanced Mechanical Technician or Engineer within manufacturing or industrial operations.

• Proven PLC programming, coding, and troubleshooting experience is essential.
• Minimum 2 years' electrical experience within a high-volume consumer goods manufacturing environment.
• Minimum 2 years' experience within an industrial environment or similar technical activities.
• Strong mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, and equipment reliability expertise.
• Experience executing and improving mechanical maintenance cycles.
• Experience with spare parts management and component revision activities.
• Proficiency in SAP, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel.
• Proactive mindset with the ability to adopt new technologies, controls, and improvement methodologies.
