Purpose of the Role
As a Line Coordinator, you’ll make sure production runs safely, smoothly, and efficiently. You’ll lead your team on the production floor, ensure compliance with PMI standards, and continuously look for ways to improve safety, quality, and performance.
Key Responsibilities
Safety & Sustainability
- Follow all PMI and legal standards on Environment, Health, Safety, and Sustainability.
- Promote a strong safety culture that focuses on prevention and continuous improvement.
- Lead daily safety activities such as Incident Elimination (IE) and 5S to support a safe and organized workplace.
Quality
- Make sure all processes and materials meet PMI and legal quality standards.
- Oversee quality checks (FPQ, QIE, VFI) and ensure accurate data input into systems (MES, LES, MPA, SPA).
- Act quickly on any quality issues and involve the right teams to maintain high product standards.
Delivery
- Ensure your line meets the daily production plan and performance targets.
- Lead daily meetings to review results, identify issues, and set improvement actions.
- Support planned maintenance and changeovers and ensure smooth handovers between shifts.
Cost
- Coordinate maintenance checks to keep equipment in good condition.
- Work with maintenance and process teams to identify and fix production losses.
- Support problem-solving and cost improvement initiatives.
People & Team Development
- Motivate and coach your team to perform at their best.
- Support cross-training, skills development, and continuous learning.
- Promote teamwork, clear communication, and accountability.
Who We’re Looking For
Education:
- National Diploma or BTech in Engineering or Operations Management
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years in manufacturing
- 2 years in a team leader or supervisory role (advantageous)
Skills & Knowledge:
- Familiar with production systems (MES, MPA, SPA, LES, SAP)
- Computer literacy (MS Office)
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Problem-solving and results-oriented mindset
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
