The Opportunity

To strengthen our team, we are seeking a Senior Key Account Manager for the Netherlands who will be responsible for managing and optimizing PMI's most valued customer relationships, driving commercial negotiations, and leading strategic planning to achieve business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Manage and expand relationships with major Key Accounts in the Netherlands.
- Serve as the category captain and main point of contact for key account and channel stakeholders to enhance their knowledge and understanding of tobacco and smoke-free products.
- Act as the channel expert, injecting shopper and retailer insights into the organization and initiating new solutions based on channel trends and developments.
- Contribute to the development of our overall trade strategy and translate commercial objectives for your portfolio of Key Accounts, including:
- Profit-driven category management.
- Achieving objectives in terms of revenue, market share, and other established KPIs.
- Tailor activation plans for each Key Account in collaboration with Field Sales, Trade Engagement, and Marketing teams.
- Develop annual financial plans for Key Accounts to establish ROI-driven retail presence for our portfolio.
- Successfully negotiate terms and conditions of PMI product portfolio and services to secure intended coverage and facilitate shop-level follow-up by PMI field sales teams.
- Continuously assess channel and Key Account performance, proactively initiating plans to increase PMI portfolio growth in collaboration with portfolio and field sales management.
- Manage available resources and budget responsibly.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Portfolio departments, Commercial departments, Business Planning, and Logistics.
Profile
- Minimum 6 years of work experience with a proven track record of commercial success in key account management or sales, including 3-4 years specifically in key account management
- Hands-on mentality, creative, curious, proactive, and entrepreneurial.
- Strong social and communication skills; able to build good customer relationships at different levels.
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Solid understanding of retailer drivers on financial, business, and emotional aspects.
- Fluent in Dutch and English, both written and spoken.
- Willingness to travel within the Netherlands and to our Benelux headquarters in Antwerp.
