THE OPPORTUNITY
In this role, you will support the development and execution of trade marketing and retail engagement initiatives that strengthen the connection between our brands and retail partners across the Netherlands. You will contribute to initiatives designed to inform, educate and motivate retail partners, supporting the achievement of commercial KPIs and improving the retailer interaction model.

 

Operating within a highly regulated environment, this role requires creativity within clear legal and regulatory boundaries. The focus is on hands-on trade marketing initiatives and clear communication toward retail partners and Field Sales teams through our internal communication channels: such as toolkits, bulletins and Sales Letters. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders including Field Sales, Marketing, Commercial Planning and the Country Team NL to ensure initiatives are effectively developed and executed. This role requires strong writing skills, a structured way of working and the ability to independently manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.

 

Responsibilities of the role

  • Support the development and deployment of Trade Engagement plans for different multi-category initiatives to inform, educate and motivate trade partners.
  • Write clear and professional communication content for various trade communication vehicles, in alignment with stakeholders such as Marketing, Legal and External Affairs.
  • Coordinate with third-party suppliers for the sourcing and purchasing of toolbox activation items, ensuring end-to-end follow-up until delivery to Field Sales teams.
  • Ensure clear and structured communication toward Field Sales through tools such as toolkits, bulletins and Sales Letters, in collaboration with the Commercial Planning team.
  • Support initiatives aimed at improving the retailer approach and interaction model from a Trade Engagement perspective.
  • Analyze post-initiative performance by comparing results against objectives and identifying improvement opportunities for future initiatives.

 

 

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education in Marketing, Business, Communications or a related field.
  • Initial professional experience in a relevant environment (for example internships, part-time roles or early career positions within marketing, trade marketing or communications).
  • Native-level Dutch writing and speaking skills.
  • Strong writing and communication skills, with the ability to create clear and structured communication materials.
  • Ability to work independently with a proactive and hands-on mindset.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Creative mindset with the ability to operate effectively within a regulated environment.
