THE OPPORTUNITY
As a Commercial Strategy Manager, you play a key role within our Commercial Ops Team. You translate strategic insights into concrete actions that grow both the smoke free category and our business with customers.
You act as a true business partner for our customers and serve as the connecting link between Sales (Field team and Key Account team) and teams such as Marketing, Trade Marketing, Channel Operations, and Portfolio. With your insights and persuasive data driven skills, you help translate market opportunities into growth for our key retailers.
In this role, you combine planning, data, strategy, and commercial impact. You translate insights into concrete plans that drive business growth.
Responsibilities of this role:
- You are the right hand of the head of commercial operations.
- You drive strong processes to ensure commercial plans are aligned with business strategy and targets.
- You collaborate strongly with the sales teams and other commercial departments to provide them with tools enabling the delivery of their plans.
- You monitor, challenge and support our commercial performance as well as facilitate KPI Setting, and Results tracking.
- You develop compelling category stories and presentations for internal teams and customers: you know how to be convincing and make complex stories, digestible and simple to everyone
- You ensure that strategies, plans, and initiatives are successfully planned, built and implemented with our key retailers.
- You continuously monitor category performance using internal and external data and adjust where necessary.
- You are responsible for making sure channels operate in a synchronized way with clear ownership and scope definition – avoiding overlap and holding each department accountable for their objective.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
You are a commercial and analytical professional who is energized by planning, data, strategy, and collaboration.
- You have a master’s degree or equivalent experience.
- You have commercial experience; experience in category management is a plus.
- You have exceptional organizational skills.
- You make things simple and have great project management skills.
- You have an excellent command of English, and French and/or Dutch is a plus.
- You are results-driven and take ownership.
- You have strong analytical skills and financial insight.
- You work proficiently with Microsoft Excel and Power BI.
