THE OPPORTUNITY
The Business & Data Analyst plays a dual role, combining the strengths of Business Analysis and Data Analysis to drive informed decision‑making. Acting as a bridge between business stakeholders and DI&A delivery teams, the role ensures that:

  • Business needs are captured, structured, and translated into analytical requirements.
  • Data is prepared, transformed, and analyzed to produce high‑quality insights.
  • Insights are converted into actionable recommendations and tied back to business outcomes.

This hybrid position supports the full insight value chain: From Businessto Datato Insightto Action.

Responsibilities of this role:

  • From Business to Data – Understanding Needs & Structuring Requirements: Act as the primary interface with business stakeholders to understand objectives, KPIs, and decision needs, translate business questions into clear analytical requirements (metrics, logic, data sources, assumptions), document analytical requirements in line with DI&A demand intake processes, support prioritization by assessing scope, feasibility, data availability, and readiness, and validate analytical outputs with stakeholders to ensure solutions address the business problem.
  • From Data to Insight – Analysis & Visualization: Source, prepare, and analyze data from internal and external systems (commercial, consumer, Circana / GfK / Nielsen), build datasets, dashboards, models, and reports using Power BI, Snowflake, SQL, and data modeling techniques, perform root‑cause analysis, identify patterns and anomalies, and translate findings into business interpretation, and ensure data quality, consistency, and traceability throughout the insight lifecycle.
  • From Insight to Action – Storytelling & Business Impact: Explain analytical results in business language, highlighting implications, risks, drivers, and recommended actions, translate insights into decision‑ready storylines aligned with commercial, brand, or consumer priorities, and close the loop by validating whether insights led to desired outcomes and adjusting future logic or KPIs.
  • Bridge Between Business & DI&A: Act as a connector between business teams and DI&A verticals (BI, Data Engineering, Research), ensure business requirements are accurately reflected in data models, KPIs, and reporting logic, collaborate with Data Owners and Data Governance lead to ensure data readiness and compliance, review and validate data deliveries (e.g., retail audit data, dashboards, KPIs), and support governance processes such as data quality checks, ownership clarifications, privacy considerations, and approval workflows.
  • Ways of Working & Demand / Delivery Alignment: Align with DI&A Hub & Spoke delivery model and support structured intake, prioritization, and value tracking, manage stakeholder expectations, escalations, and communication of progress, and ensure documentation consistency (logic definitions, KPIs, data sources, business rules).

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • University degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in analytics, business analysis, BI, or strategy, ideally within FMCG or consulting.
  • Experience working in multinational and cross‑functional environments.
  • Strong proficiency in Snowflake, SQL, data modeling, BI tools (Power BI), Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to conduct diagnostic and root‑cause analysis, identify patterns, and connect data to brand or consumer behavior.
  • Understanding of data governance, metadata, traceability, and data quality frameworks.
  • Solid understanding of FMCG business drivers, performance metrics, portfolio levers, and activation strategies.
  • Ability to translate data into insights and actionable business recommendations.
  • Experience collaborating with Commercial, Marketing, and IT teams.
  • Strong requirement‑gathering, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills.
  • Ability to simplify complex analytics into clear, compelling narratives.
  • Curious, structured, proactive, and able to identify opportunities and insight gaps.
  • Resilient and adaptable in a fast‑paced, evolving environment.
