Your ‘day to day’
We are looking for a Direct Materials Procurement Category Leader to join our team in Belgrade. In this role, you will be responsible for defining, deploying, and continuously improving regional category strategies for Direct Materials, ensuring secure supply, optimal total cost of ownership, and strong supplier performance across the EU EEMA region.
This position offers strong exposure to regional stakeholders, strategic sourcing activities, and supplier negotiations, while contributing directly to business continuity, productivity, and sustainability objectives
- Lead regional sourcing and tendering activities for assigned Direct Materials categories across the EU EEMA region
- Define and deploy category strategies, translating business needs and market insights into clear sourcing and supplier engagement actions
- Drive cost, price, and productivity initiatives in line with category strategies and business objectives
- Negotiate commercial terms and conditions with suppliers to deliver sustainable and long‑term value
- Shape and optimize the supplier ecosystem to support efficiency, performance, and strategic flexibility
- Manage supplier relationships and performance, ensuring suppliers deliver in line with PMI standards for quality, delivery, responsiveness, and compliance
- Provide strategic oversight on supply risks, contributing to capacity and continuity discussions through governance and escalation with key stakeholders
- Ensure full compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and procurement governance standards
- Support PMI sustainability objectives through responsible sourcing and close collaboration with suppliers
Who we’re looking for
- University degree
- At least 2 years of Procurement experience, within a multinational environment is an advantage
- Exposure to Direct Materials, with experience in packaging or product categories considered a plus
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Solid attention to detail, structured working style, and a collaborative mindset
- SAP proficiency and strong skills in Excel (Power BI knowledge is a plus)
