We are hiring a Warehouse Operations Engineer for our Aurora, CO Factory! 

 

As a Warehouse Operations Engineer, you will identify and lead productivity and continuous improvement initiatives within the scope of internal logistics and warehousing processes; deploy systems, automation and visualization tools to optimize warehousing and logistics processes and to drive continuous improvement.

 

‘Day to Day’

 

  1. Sustainability
  • Act and promote an interdependent and transparent safety culture in LSP and PMI warehousing team by fostering the utilization of preventive/predictive approach in line with Warehousing Logistics RTT/Open+/IOS.
  • Act in accordance with local safety measures, fire regulations, hygienic and property-security regulations, policies and procedures to increase and maintain health and safety awareness, support to establish healthy and safe environment for the employees and service provider(s) and prevent damage and loss of the company assets.
  • Perform on a regular basis housekeeping and safety audits to validate storage conditions, sanitation and product integrity according to PMI warehousing guidelines.
  • Propose and ensure implementation of improvements and corrective actions where necessary.
  • Evaluate risks at workplaces, take appropriate measures for risks reduction.

 

2. Quality

  • Ensure that the processes fulfil the requirements through the development of instructions/procedures and provide adequate action plans, in case the control parameters are not within the limits.
  • Analyze, propose and implement actions to drive improvements to key performance indicators.
  • Provide guidance to internal logistics and warehousing teams to improve their working practices and procedures.
  • Act as Key system user related to Information Systems and develop instruction for utilizing the information systems in internal logistics. Train employees and ensure that they have the necessary knowledge for using the functions of these systems.
  • Create / review documents that cover processes under their responsibility and provide training.
  • Act as SME and provide support during internal and/or external audits. Ensure the follow up of actions identified in their area of intervention.
  • Support/Investigate in a timely manner non-conformities and trends. Liaise with concerned parties to find out the root cause and take relevant preventive/correctives actions. Ensure proper CAPA follow up and reporting of open actions.

 

3. Delivery

  • Lead/coordinate complex process/system project from the definition of options/solutions (technical development/research) to the implementation and post projects monitoring.
  • Act as SME for logistics and warehousing automations – lead design, selection, commissioning, and operational aspects of warehouse automations.
  • Ensure traceability and compliance processes are adhered to and improved upon where applicable.
  • Lead/coordinate or participate in special project teams to improve overall factory performance and foster the implementation of global initiatives.
  • Act as an expert for all queries related to the product / process / systems used in internal logistics.
  • Identify training needs and provide training programs to ensure a successful knowledge transfer to ensure current and long-term facility / departmental objectives achievements.

 

4. Cost

  • Participate in establishing Logistics Assumptions and objectives setting.
  • Identify and lead productivity initiatives based on loss analysis and waste elimination.

 

5. Morale

  • Provide guidance and mentoring to Internal logistics & LSP staff on the processes in the department.
  • Coach internal logistics and warehousing teams to build capabilities for identification, measuring and elimination of losses by using OPEN+ tools.

 

What we are looking for:  

  • College / University Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain or Operations Management
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Manufacturing and / or Warehousing Operations
  • Experience with MS Office, SAP, LES / MES, Dynamics, Data Driven Warehouse Design
  • Prefer experience in OPEN + methodology
  • Experience with CAD and layout
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Annual Base Salary Range: $88,000 - $110,000
