The Internal Communications Manager is responsible for developing and executing the overall factory communication strategy in support of the Factory Management Team to increase understanding of all Factory Operations employees on the factory's strategic objectives, visions and values, and U.S. Operations' strategic direction, utilizing tailored messaging and all available communication platforms and channels, while maintaining alignment and consistency to Operations communication guidelines and plans

 

 

‘Day to Day’

  • Develop and deploy, in collaboration with Factory Management, the overall factory Operations communication strategy based on the factory strategy and objectives sharing and creating engagement throughout all organization departments and levels, following the communications guidelines and utilizing the supporting tools developed at U.S. market
  • Liaise with U.S. Operations and broader U.S. manufacturing network to support the development and deployment of local communications strategies in other U.S. manufacturing sites.
  • Coordinate with U.S. Communications and Operations to identify/improve/standardize appropriate communication tools, channels (Intranet, Newsletters, Town hall events, etc.) and themes and propose communication plans based on these tools to the Factory Management team
  • Ensure effective communication and implementation & follow-up of all market & local key messages (Employee Engagement Survey participation, PMI values, Business Updates, etc.) in order to ensure employee engagement and understanding of all Objectives and Strategies.
  • Support the U.S. Communications function in developing, maintaining and engaging a durable network of key local stakeholders in order to: • position the Company as the most responsible and reliable nicotine company in the state • enhance the Company’s awareness and presence among the local community; • support the Comms function in developing and maintaining the Company’s image as good corporate citizen.
  • Support the development of the U.S. Operations communication strategy and coordinate and monitor its implementation in the U.S. manufacturing network, ensuring regular review of specific communications with the Sr. Manager S&PD, in order to ensure successful implementation. Ensure regular assessment of the main communication campaigns in order to identify if the excepted results have been achieved and act accordingly.
  • Coordinate the planning and organization of local events (holiday party, etc.), local team-building events (Summer picnic, etc.) and major workshops (Vision & Values, etc.) in order to ensure the success of the events, thus contributing to employee engagement. Coordinate visits of PMI Senior Management. Support in the coordination of factory visits from Market representatives (and other legal entities and non-PMI) in close cooperation with U.S. Comms.
  • Manage external companies supporting the local communication plan and/or events based a pre-approved budget. Foster a culture of environmental and sustainability responsibility within the organization
  • Coordinate and execute the overall Recognition and Reward local program (e.g. Sandbags, ABCD Awards, Pay-for-performance programs) in order to sustain and improve the local strategic objectives.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

 

What we are looking for:  

  • Master’s degree in Communication, Economics, Political Science or Law
  • 5+ years in a communication role including a minimum 2 years in an internal communication role
  • Customer Service / Customer Focus

  • Must speak English (required)

Annual Base Salary Range: $105,600 – 132,000
