The Site Environmental Manager is responsible for overall EHS compliance and performance at the site. This role helps to lead the EHS team and ensures the consistent and effective execution of EHS programs, regulatory reporting, and EHS risk management. The role partners closely with Operations, Engineering, and regional EHS Compliance & Risk teams to maintain compliance, reduce risk, and support safe and sustainable operations.

 

Your Day-to-Day:

• Own site EHS compliance across occupational health, safety, and environmental programs.
• Lead and develop more junior EHS team.
• Review and approves submission of regulatory reports (Tier II, TRI, waste reporting, etc.)
• Lead incident response and root cause investigations
• Ensure EHS programs (RCRA, SPCC, stormwater, wastewater, LOTO, machine safeguarding) are operating effectively
• Partner with Engineering and Operations on capital projects and management of change
• Maintain site EHS records and ensure audit readiness
• Implement regional EHS programs and technical guidance
• Identify EHS risks and drive corrective and preventive actions

 

Who we’re looking for:

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Chemistry, or related field OR equivalent experience
• 6–10+ years of environmental compliance experience in manufacturing or industrial settings
• Strong knowledge of EHS regulations (RCRA, EPCRA, SPCC,OSHA)
• Experience managing EHS reporting (Tier II, TRI, OSHA)
• Experience leading teams or providing technical leadership
• Strong communication and organizational skills



Preferred:
• Experience with ISO 14001and 45001 Management Systems
• Experience interacting with regulators and supporting inspections
• Certifications (CHMM, CSP etc.)

 

Annual Base Salary: $114,400 – 143,000
