What You’ll Be Doing

Lead strategic direction by monitoring political environments and developing proactive regulatory strategies.

Drive regulatory and fiscal affairs to ensure a level playing field and risk-proportionate frameworks.

Act as a spokesperson to position PMI as a responsible manufacturer and advocate for tobacco harm reduction.

Develop and execute communication strategies that align with global priorities and local needs.

Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships with government officials, media, NGOs, and community leaders.

Provide expert consultancy to internal teams on external developments and media analysis.

Coach and develop team members to enhance lobbying, networking, and communication capabilities.
Who We’re Looking For
You are:

Experienced in external affairs, with 3+ years in a related role.

A strategic thinker with a strong understanding of NZ or Pacific Islands political processes.

Well-connected, with a robust network in government and business communities.

A confident communicator, both in spoken and written form.

A team leader—people management experience is a plus.

Educated to at least a Bachelor’s degree level.
