You’ll be solving mechanical problems that span the whole world: a smoke-free world. 

 

Your ‘day to day’ 

  • Operate machine tools such as lathe, milling machine, and surface grinder to manufacture and repair mechanical components according to technical specifications. 
  • Perform precision machining tasks, ensuring high quality standards and compliance with production requirements. 
  • Utilize and support basic programming of CNC machine tools for component manufacturing and process optimization. 
  • Read and interpret mechanical/engineering drawings to accurately execute machining operations. 
  • Carry out basic welding (arc welding) tasks for fabrication and repair of parts and equipment. 
  • Ensure proper operation, care, and routine maintenance of machine shop equipment. 
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce production losses. 
  • Follow all health, safety, and quality procedures and standards within the workplace. 
  • Apply 5S principles to maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment. 
  • Collaborate effectively with other departments to ensure smooth production flow and timely resolution of technical issues. 

 

Who we’re looking for 

  • A bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or relevant field, provided that the candidate is eligible to obtain the required Technical License (ΠΔ 115/2012)
  • At least 3 years of experience in machining technologies and conventional machine tools (lathe, milling, grinding) 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability and willingness to take ownership and responsibility for organizational practices and processes and their continuous improvement. 
  • Ability to interact with multi-skilled individuals and maintain composure in stressful and/or sensitive situations 
  • Fluency in both English and Greek (verbal & written) 
  • Completed Military obligations (if applicable)
